Word for Today: You Are Not Forgotten
Today’s Scripture: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)
Today’s Devotional:
I want you to know something this morning: God has not forgotten about you.
Maybe you woke up today feeling stuck. Maybe you’re in a season that doesn’t make sense. Maybe you’ve been praying and it feels like nothing is changing.
Friend, God sees exactly where you are. And He’s not done with you.
When God spoke these words through Jeremiah, His people were in the worst season of their lives. They had lost everything—their homes, their freedom, their future. They felt abandoned. Forgotten. Alone.
But right in the middle of their pain, God showed up with a promise: “I know the plans I have for you.”
Not plans to leave you where you are. Not plans to harm you. Plans for good. Plans for hope. Plans for a future you can’t even see yet.
That same God is speaking over your life today. He’s saying, “I see you. I know what you’re going through. And I’m working on something beautiful.”
You may not understand it right now. That’s okay. You don’t have to understand His plan to trust His heart.
Today, let go of the worry. Let go of the fear that God has moved on without you. He hasn’t. He won’t. You are not a forgotten project. You are His beloved child.
Be encouraged—whatever you’re walking through, it’s not the end of your story. It’s the setup for your comeback.
Prayer for Today:
Father, thank You for seeing me right where I am. Thank You that Your plans for me are good, even when I can’t see them yet. Help me trust You in this season. Remind me that You are working all things together for my good. I surrender my timeline to Yours. I believe my best days are still ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflect: What area of your life do you need to trust God’s plan today?
