Higher Praise is an online Christian ministry for anyone who wants to know God better — or is still wondering whether he’s there at all.

We answer real questions about faith from the Bible, publish a short daily devotional from Scripture, keep a place to ask for prayer, and make games that help the Bible stick. Everything here is free to read.

Who writes here

You can read about each of our writers on their pages, including Rev. David Gray, Violet Brando and David Dawson, who writes the daily devotional.

What we believe

Higher Praise holds to historic, evangelical Christian faith. We believe:

• The Bible is God’s word and our authority for faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
• Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, and salvation is by grace through faith in him alone (John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8–9).
• The Holy Spirit makes us new (John 3:3–7).
• The local church matters — we need each other (Hebrews 10:24–25).
• God is worthy of worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:23–24).

What we’re not

Higher Praise isn’t a church, and it isn’t a registered charity. We’d love you to be part of a local church — nothing here is meant to replace one.

The Bible text we use

Unless we say otherwise, Scripture on Higher Praise is quoted from the King James Version (the Authorised Version). Some verse cards also use the World English Bible.
