Some things in life just don’t make sense. But God is working even when you can’t see it. He’s turning your broken pieces into something beautiful.
Word for Today: God Is in Control
Today’s Scripture: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28 (ESV)
Some things in life just don’t make sense.
The job you lost. The relationship that ended. The prayer that still hasn’t been answered. You look at your circumstances and think, “How could anything good come from this?”
Here’s what I want you to hold onto today: God is working even when you can’t see it.
Romans 8:28 doesn’t say all things are good. Let’s be honest—some things are painful. Some things are unfair. Some things break your heart.
But it says all things work together for good.
That’s different. That means God takes the broken pieces and makes something whole. He takes your mess and turns it into a message. He takes what was meant to destroy you and uses it to build you.
You might not see it today. You might not see it for years. But one day, you’ll look back and say, “Now I understand why I had to go through that.”
God doesn’t waste your pain. He redeems it.
So today, instead of asking “Why is this happening to me?” try asking “What is God doing through this?”
The answer might not come right away. But you can trust that He’s in control, He loves you, and He’s working it all together for your good.
Be encouraged. Your story isn’t over.
Prayer for Today:
Father, I don’t understand everything I’m going through, but I choose to trust You. I believe You’re working all things together for my good. Help me see Your hand in my circumstances. Give me peace while I wait. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflect: What situation in your life do you need to trust God is working out for your good?
