    Be Strong and Courageous

Fear makes us feel small. But this morning, God is speaking louder than your fear. Be strong and courageous—because He is with you.

Word for Today: Fear Is Not Your Future

Today’s Scripture: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9 (ESV)

    Today’s Devotional:

Fear has a way of making us feel small.

It whispers that we’re not ready. That we’ll fail. That the mountain in front of us is too big to climb.

But this morning, God is speaking louder than your fear.

When Joshua was about to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, he had every reason to be afraid. Moses was gone. The enemies were giants. The task was impossible.

And God said, “Be strong and courageous.”

Notice—He didn’t say, “Be strong because you’ve got this.” He said, “Be strong because I am with you.”

    That changes everything.

Your courage doesn’t come from your ability. It comes from His presence. You can face the hard conversation. You can step into the unknown. You can try again after failure—because God is walking with you.

He didn’t say the road would be easy. He said you wouldn’t walk it alone.

Today, whatever is making you afraid—that decision, that diagnosis, that next step—look it in the eye and remember who’s standing beside you.

The God of angel armies. The Creator of the universe. The One who has never lost a battle.

Be strong. Be courageous. Not because fear isn’t real—but because God is bigger.

    Prayer for Today:

Father, I bring my fears to You today. I choose courage because You are with me. Help me take the next step even when I’m scared. Remind me that I never walk alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflect: What fear is holding you back that God is calling you to face today?
