 TRUTH NOT TOLERANCE

 

HAVE WE BEEN CALLED TO RESPECT EACH OTHERS' RELIGIONS? IS THIS WHAT THE LORD JESUS TOLD US IN HIS WORD?

   

Ezekiel 2:3‑7 ‑ "And He said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against Me: they and their fathers have transgressed against Me, even unto this very day.

For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD,

And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

And thou shalt speak My words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious."

 

I asked a woman in a parking lot if she was Born‑Again and proceeded to tell her of a Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun.

She became upset with me because I was not doing the expected thing ‑ respecting her Abeliefs,@ (unbelief).

 

Is it TRUE that we are to go around showing respect for other people's false religions and concepts of the Truth?

Where are people coming up with this?

Many seem to have adopted this philosophy lately.

But is this what the Bible tells us to do?

 

Actually, when people say to us that we should respect their religion, they are unmistakably saying,

"Leave me alone!

I have my beliefs and you have yours.

I don't want to hear about this Jesus, about being Born Again, and about Heaven and Hell!

And you have no right to tell me either!"

  What people are actually recommending is that

we all take our candles and place them under a bushel,

and don't dare set them on a candlestick lest we offend them.

 

It seems that the new catch word for today is TOLERANCE.

But what does God tell us in His Holy Word?

Does the Bible tell us to keep our mouth's shut and let people believe lies and go to Hell?

Or does it call us to speak the Truth whether they hear or not ‑

Doesn=t the Bible call us to warn the wicked whether their so‑called religion agrees with the Scriptures or not?

 

Ezekiel 3:17 ‑ "Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at My mouth, and give them warning from Me."

 

Does God advocate TOLERANCE and respect for false religions?

Does God support the smiley B smiley approach to all religions, in the name of UNITY?

Read what He told the Prophet Ezekiel.

It is pretty plain and clear how God feels about TOLERANCE toward other's false religions ‑

 

Ezekiel 3:18‑19 ‑ "When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness,  nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast deliveblack thy soul."

 

If we practice TOLERANCE towards others' false religions and keep our mouths shut,

then we will be a friend to the world

but the enemy of God.

 

We will stand in the judgment one day and give account for the blood of others who we failed to warn.

Their blood will be upon our hands!

This is a serious charge, Saints!

God isn't playing games here!

He does not allow one ounce of TOLERANCE for any belief that denies His Son His rightful place as Lord and Savior of all mankind!

AMEN & AMEN!!!

 

Mark 4:21‑23 ‑ "And He said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear."   

 

What God is saying to us through these Scriptures is ‑

DON'T HIDE THE TRUTH FROM OTHERS!

MAKE IT MANIFEST UNTO ALL!

He has given us gifts and talents and placed His Word in our hearts.

He expects us to use what He has given us.

We are responsible for everything that we hear ‑

 

Mark 4:24‑25 ‑ "And He said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measublack to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath."

 

We are to be attentive to the Truth at all times.

The more attention we give to the knowledge of the Truth, the more it will grow in us.

 

2 Corinthians 4:3‑4  tells us that "our gospel" is hid to them that are lost ‑ "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

 

Satan would love nothing more than for us to keep this Gospel hid from the lost ‑ those whose minds are blinded by him through their unbelief.

He wants us to TOLERATE other people's religions and show respect for others' false beliefs.

He wants us to keep our mouths shut and to hide our candles under a bushel or a table so that none will find the way out of their SIN and DARKNESS.

But what did the Lord Jesus say ‑ "FOR THERE IS NOTHING HID, WHICH SHALL NOT BE MANIFESTED..." "NOTHING!" "NOTHING!" "NOTHING!"

This Gospel may be hid by Satan for a time in people's hearts and minds, but it is the work of the Church of the Living God to MANIFEST THE TRUTH by placing their LIGHT ‑ the knowledge of the TRUTH ‑ on a "candlestick" for all to see.  

 

We are called to be LIGHTHOUSES on the most dangerous coasts of life where men are dying every day and falling under the waves.

The Apostle Paul admonished all believers to "shine as lights in the world" ‑

 

Philippians 2:15‑16 ‑ "That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life..."

 

Notice the atmosphere where God plants us.

He plants us right in the midst of a "crooked and perverse nation."

In other words, He send us to a people who are corrupt and have turned aside from the right path.

He plants us right in the midst of a people

who have perverted sentiments and habits;

who take every occasion to fight what we do and say for the cause of Christ and to oppose the cause of truth, righteousness, holiness, and true peace of heart and mind;

and who are prone to complain and find fault with everything Christian and godly.

It is here where we are to place our "LIGHT" on a "candlestick" for all to see.

 

In the midst of this DARKNESS, we are to "shine as lights."

We are to be "blameless," "harmless," and "without rebuke."

We who once were "darkness" and are now the "children of lights" are to

"have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness."

What are we to do?

TOLERATE THEM?

KEEP OUR MOUTHS SHUT?

HAVE RESPECT FOR THEM?

TURN OUR HEADS THE OTHER WAY

AND PRETEND THAT WE DON'T SEE THEM?

HIDE OUR HEADS IN THE SAND?

No, the Scriptures say that we are to "reprove them."

On every hand, we are to stand in opposition to wickedness in every form that it manifests itself.

 

Ephesians 5:13 ‑ The Scriptures clearly tell us that it is the LIGHT that manifests the evil and wickedness of others ‑ "But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light."

The LIGHT of the Gospel is the means that God uses to manifest the sinfulness and evil of things and people's hearts.

It is no wonder that Satan has hid this Gospel Light from the unbelievers.

It is no wonder that he works feverishly to get the Church to hide their Light under a bushel or a bed so to speak.

 

No, TOLERANCE is not the new word for today.

God is not calling us to respect other people's false religions and beliefs.

 

He is calling us to "LET OUR LIGHTS SO SHINE BEFORE MEN..."

He is calling us to REBUKE SIN on every turn.

He is calling us to SPEAK THE TRUTH to all.

Let's not waste any more time. There is work to be done.

 

"This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine...

LET IT SHINE! LET IT SHINE! LET IT SHINE!"
