Word for Today: You Don’t Have to Carry It Alone
Today’s Scripture: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (ESV)
Today’s Devotional:
You’re tired. I know you are.
Not just physically tired—but soul tired. Worn down by worry. Exhausted from carrying burdens that were never yours to carry.
Jesus sees you. And this morning, He’s inviting you to come.
“Come to me, all who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Not “figure it out first.” Not “clean yourself up.” Not “try harder.”
Just come.
Bring the anxiety. Bring the doubt. Bring the mess. Bring the weight you’ve been dragging around for months.
And lay it down.
Jesus didn’t promise to make life easy. But He promised to be with you in it—and to carry what you can’t.
You were never designed to do this alone. You were made to walk with a Savior who says, “Give it to Me. Let Me carry it. Rest.”
Today, stop trying to hold it all together. Stop pretending you’ve got it under control. Come to Jesus—just as you are—and let Him be your rest.
He’s not disappointed in you. He’s not frustrated with your struggle. He just wants you close.
Be encouraged. The rest you’re looking for is found in Him.
Prayer for Today:
Jesus, I’m tired. I’ve been carrying too much for too long. Today I come to You. I lay down my burdens at Your feet. Give me rest. Refresh my soul. I trust You. In Your name, Amen.
Reflect: What burden do you need to lay at Jesus’ feet today?
